Life with a 1 year old..(almost 13 months)
International Women’s Day 2021

Lyla is changing so much every day! While picking her up from grandma daycare yesterday (my mom watches Lyla during the week while Zach and I are at work), my mom shared how much Lyla had changed in just 3 days! Over the weekend we started working on moving our heads up and down when we say yes and side to side when we say no. Lyla was shaking her head up and down yesterday! So adorable! She has also started to cross her arms when sitting, almost like she is pouting. Lol. She is getting better at being left in a room by herself without hysterically crying and crawling for one of us. She has also learned to “feed Archie.” While she is eating food in her high chair, she will pretend to eat the food, then reaches in her mouth, pulls the food out and drops it on the ground while watching Archie eat it! We are working on “No, that is Lyla’s food.” But overall Lyla amazes us each and every day! The time change on Sunday has actually worked in our favor! Lyla now goes to bed around 7:15-7:30 pm and wakes up around 6:45 am! Yay! She was on a 6pm-6am schedule before, but we love having more time with her in the evenings and getting a little extra sleep in the mornings.
